Forming the nucleus of the brief, Bosch wanted us to explore how the packaging could better communicate the emotional values within the recommended “Inspirational” brand positioning; “connecting with consumers positive attitude towards gardening”. Equally the new packaging needed to communicate a clear and differentiated market position over the key competitor brands such as Flymo, Qualcast, Black & Decker and Wolf.
The underlying consumer proposition upon which the final design was conceptualised was based upon “Effortless gardening, maximum mobility” and “enjoyment of being in the garden”; through innovative technical solutions, stylish design with distinctive features & benefits.
